ABOUT ME
Putting My Experience
to Work
I am Jackie Jones Todd, I was born and raised in Townville, South Carolina, And I am ready to lead on your behalf as the representative for South Carolina House District 8.

I am running for office because I want to make a better future for our children and grandchildren. I want South Carolina to have an efficient and effective government that optimizes our tax dollars and is as resilient and diverse as the people it serves.

The life I have lived has given me unique perspective on the challenges we face. It has given me the skills we need to help this state rise above those challenges.
I was a teen mother and now I am a grandmother. I am a black woman who has experienced the good and bad of the state’s political, educational and law enforcement systems.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University, a Master's in Business and I had a successful career with one of the largest chemical companies in the world.
I’m also certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt – a widely recognized professional designation. It means I have the know-how and experience to reduce waste, increase efficiency and lead and collaborate with others to do so.
